The Collegio di Milano is managed by the Fondazione Collegio delle Università di Milano, a non-profit institution founded in 2003.

Mission and activities

Fondazione Collegio delle Università Milanesi is a non-profit institution supported by seven universities and important public and private entities of the city of Milan, aiming at being a point of reference within the academic, institutional and entrepreneurial contexts of Italy and Europe.

OUR MISSION

The Foundation’s activities are focused on spreading and promoting the “college experience”,  on valorizing a meritocratic culture, the internationalization of the university system, and the integration of local entities. Through its study of the dynamics of temporary accommodation within multicultural contexts, it also presents itself as a force for social mobility and active citizenship.

The Foundation manages the Collegio di Milano, an inter-university campus recognised and validated by the Italian Ministry of University and Research involving all the universities of Milan, and the Expo College, an accommodation network for young people from all over the world.

OUR VISION

Fondazione Collegio delle Università Milanesi offers its experience as qualified partner at international level for management of complex multicultural environments, offering accommodation, cultural activities and certified educational opportunities through:

  • An interdisciplinary and international context;
  • Social intelligence, life skills and professional project development;
  • Scientific research on university accommodation system and on campus experience.

The Foundation has launched different intiatives:

1. Collegio di Milano

Collegio di Milano, an inter-university campus  for the education of outstanding students, coming for all over the world, enrolled at the universities of Milan. The purpose of the Collegio is to strenghten and enhance the potential of the students, offering them, in addition to residential services, a multicultural and multidisciplinary program.
The Collegio also offers services of tutoring, international exchanges and career services, in order to guide students to choose the right course of study for them and to enter the labour market.

2. Expo College

Expo College is a network of accomodation located in different areas of the city, born to satisfy the residential needs and the cultural, formative and relational requirements of the young citizens of the world.

Fondazione Collegio delle Università Milanesi, with Expo College brand, is a qualified partner for the management of complex multicultural environments, offering accommodation, cultural activities and certified educational opportunities.

3. Expo Village

EXPO Village, the home of delegates from all over the world partecipating at Expo Milano 2015.
A protected area located in seven towers near the Expo site; in ten months hosted 5.000 guests from 130 countries.

Fondazione Collegio delle Università Milanesi, thanks to its expertise in temporary accommodation in international and multicultural environment, managed Expo Village Milano 2015 and all the cultural activities.
