Fondazione Collegio delle Università Milanesi is a non-profit institution supported by Milan’s universities and influential public and private entities. It stands as a central point of reference within the academic, institutional, and entrepreneurial landscapes, fostering excellence and integration across Italy and Europe.
Founded in 2003, our Foundation bridges academic excellence with real-world application, ensuring talented students receive an education that prepares them for global leadership while maintaining strong roots in Milan's dynamic ecosystem.
In 2023 Fondazione Collegio delle Università Milanesi was awarded the Medal of the President of the Italian Republic.

We view merit through a lens that emphasizes the community, believing that individual success finds its highest legitimacy when it serves the collective good. For us, merit is not an isolated attribute but a dynamic relationship between talent and social responsibility.
Initiatives & Projects
Collegio di Milano is a merit-based inter-university campus officially recognized and accredited by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. It serves as a vibrant, international hub, hosting up to 228 students from around the globe who are enrolled at the various Universities of Milan.
In partnership with the Municipality of Milan, the Foundation is restoring Architect Vittoriano Viganò’s brutalist masterpiece, the Marchiondi-Spagliardi Institute. This project creates a new, high-tech, sustainable Collegio di Merito for 167 students, focusing on artistic training.
Expo College (2013)
An urban housing network designed to manage complex multicultural environments, offering high-quality accommodation, cultural activities, and certified educational opportunities to integrate students into the city’s social fabric.
Expo Village (2015)
A landmark management project for Expo Milano 2015, where the Foundation hosted 5,000 delegates from 130 countries, demonstrating its capacity to lead large-scale, multicultural residential environments.
Internationalization
The Foundation is deeply committed to the internationalization of the Italian educational system, designing and implementing transformative experiences for students and faculty worldwide. This commitment is rooted in the firm belief that only a global education can prepare individuals to be true citizens of the world, providing them with the essential tools to navigate and understand contemporary dynamics.
