Living Excellence Every Day
Life at Collegio di Milano is designed to balance intense academic focus with rich social interaction: with around 100 degree programs represented in one community, a simple dinner conversation can spark a new interdisciplinary project or a lifelong friendship.
The World in a Campus
Living at Collegio di Milano means joining a community rooted in mutual respect. Our shared spaces thrive on the appreciation of different backgrounds, cultures and traditions, creating a welcoming environment for everyone you meet. We embrace the inherent complexity of such a diverse community, recognizing that navigating our differences is not only a challenge but a profound source of personal enrichment. With students from all over the world, we are proud to be a truly global crossroads.
  • 40% international students
An ever-growing number of global talents choose Milan for their studies and select the Collegio to upgrade their university experience. This significant presence ensures that daily life is enriched by a constant exchange of perspectives and global backgrounds.
  • 30+ Languages Spoken
Our corridors act as a modern "Babel" where Italian and English are joined by over 30 languages daily—nearly 60 if including regional dialects. With many students being native in two or three languages, every conversation contributes to a unique, multilingual narrative.
  • 68 Different Countries
Since 2018, we have welcomed students from 68 nations, with over 90 represented since our opening in 2003. This vast mosaic of origins allows students to live side-by-side with the entire world, turning the campus into a truly vibrant international hub.
A Culture of Exchange
Our Cultural and Training Activities represent a key setting for dialogue and encounter at Collegio di Milano. We believe that true learning thrives on interaction, and we design these activities as a crossroads where students can engage in constructive exchange. By fostering an environment that encourages the meeting of different worldviews, the complexity of diversity is embraced as a shared value, transforming intellectual challenge into a bridge toward new ways of thinking.
Active Participation and Responsibility
At Collegio di Milano, students are the protagonists of their own growth. Rather than a simple self-governing model, we foster autonomy and responsibility through direct engagement and constant support.
  • Learning By Doing
As one of our core teaching methods, students participate actively in the Cultural and Training Activities. This includes hands-on roles such as being a Class Representative during courses, supporting professional photo and video shoots, or organizing Special Guest Evenings.
  • Decision-Making & Reflection
Students are encouraged to reflect on taking responsibility for their own decisions (e.g. managing their study schedules and committing to their attendance at Cultural and Training Activities), while learning to navigate and interpret complex environments.
  • Elected Representation & Specialized Committees
Each year, students elect Student Representatives and specialized Commissions to oversee communal areas and specific activities. These student bodies maintain a continuous, two-way dialogue with the staff and management of Collegio di Milano, ensuring a collaborative approach to campus life.
Physical and Psychological Wellbeing
  • Sports and Wellness
Collegio di Milano supports the practice of sports as a vital tool for personal growth and social development. Beyond the facilities available for autonomous use, our Cultural and Training Activities regularly include physical disciplines such as dance, self-defense, and various sports. These activities are complemented by a vibrant competitive scene, including inter-college tournaments organized between teams from different university residences, fostering a balanced lifestyle through both structured learning and healthy competition.
  • Mind and Personal Development
At Collegio di Milano, psychological wellbeing is supported through a variety of initiatives designed to help students navigate the complexities of university and personal life. A key part of this journey is the Exploring Wellbeing project, part of the Cultural and Training Activities, where students examine mental, relational and emotional dynamics through the lens of psychology to foster self-awareness and essential soft skills.
