Collegio Meets The Future: the students fly to Dubai

On November 20, 27 students of Collegio di Milano flew to Dubai for a once-in-a-lifetime educational experience: with the project Collegio Meets The Future, our students were able to get to know one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world, thanks to exclusive itineraries and meetings, not from a tourist’s perspective, but created to promote the comprehension of the sociocultural and economical context of the UAE.

For a whole week, the Collegiali were able to experiment the culture and the traditions of Dubai, but also its multiculturality, globalization and extraordinary innovation strategies of what has become one of the most modern commercial and economical centers in the world in just 50 years.

The experience focused on Expo 2020 Dubai, the World Exhibition that is currently taking place in Dubai and that in the next months will welcome up to 25 million visitors from all over the world. The theme of Expo 2020 Dubai is Connecting Minds, Creating the Future and the goal is to build new partnerships and promote the exchange of ideas that can shape the future.

The three subthemes Sustainability, Mobility and Opportunity are be fundamental to guiding the visitors through the exploration of this World Exposition, and thanks to them, our students were able to customize their own experience, choosing which Pavilion to visit among the 200 present, based on their studies, interests and passions.

The project Collegio Meets the Future was created as part of the educational and cultural offerings of the Collegio di Milano, firmly connected with the mission of Fondazione Collegio delle Università Milanesi and the objectives of the Collegio.

The experience is in line with most of the keywords of the Collegio and with the objectives and themes at the base of the Educational and Cultural Activities.

Therefore it is evident that this precious educational opportunity is the result of intertwining the projects that Collegio di Milano offers and enjoying a unique international experience that allows experimenting multidisciplinarity, globalization and innovation.
